Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin has thigh surgery after injury setback

Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin will probably be out for three months after thigh surgery.
The 24-year-old had the surgery in France on Tuesday after suffering a setback in his recovery from injury.
Gbamin had returned to light training this month in Finch Farm and will now continue his rehabilitation there with the medical team of the club.
The summer signing from Mainz 05 has made just two appearances for Everton far this year – against Watford and Crystal Palace in August.
Everton are currently 18th at the table having won only two of their eight Premier League matches this season.
The week, West Ham is hosted by them that Saturday prior to a trip to Brighton.
