The National Economic Crime Bureau of the Garda are currently analyzing phones as part of the enquiries.
The Football Association of Ireland, the Republic of Ireland’s soccer governing body, said it’s”awaiting the results” of this analysis.
The investigation centres on odd betting patterns in several of matches.
It’s recognized that these patterns were reported to Uefa who advised the Republic’s soccer governing body.
A Garda spokeswoman stated”investigations are ongoing”.
