Friends of the Earth plastic campaigner Julian Kirby explained:”Football clubs across the united kingdom should aim to become champions off the pitch, as well as onto it, by giving single-use plastic the boot.
“Fans need football clubs to take action on plastic. We are encouraged that several clubs have already introduced measures on this issue – however we want every Premier and Football League club get what it can to get rid of unnecessary single-use plastic.
