Kentucky Speedway will prepare for the NASCAR Quaker State 400 Presented by Advance Auto Parts that will occur on July 14, 2018. The track is situated about halfway between Louisville and Cincinnati, just southwest of the Ohio border.
Kentucky Speedway has been used as a testing course for NASCAR, and a number of the sport’s biggest stars have experienced success in the course in the past, including Joey Logano, who won three straight Nationwide Series races there, and former Nationwide and ARCA race champions Kyle Busch, Greg Biffle, Carl Edwards and Kevin Harvick.
Though Kentucky Speedway is still a relative newcomer when it comes to hosting a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race, the track has had its share of big events before, including NASCAR Xfinity Series races, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races and races in the IndyCar Series.
This past year, Martin Truex Jr. led 152 laps en route to winning the NASCAR Cup Series Quaker State 400 in Kentucky Speedway on Saturday night for his third victory of the season.
Truex Jr., got the jump over Kyle Busch, who’d collaborated for two new tires while Truex didn’t, and pulled away to secure the win.
Two drivers who have won five of the six races have dominated this race. While Kyle Busch has two brad Keselowski has three wins. Joe Gibbs Racing and Team Penske have three group wins at the race.
Toyota has won this race three times, while Ford has just two wins and Dodge has one.
Quaker State 400 Race Prediction
To the relief of several last week’s crash fest at Daytona is currently becoming more remote in the rear-view mirror. It did not take long for most of the top drivers to be wrecked from the Coke Zero Sugar 400. The 200 miles per hour demolition derby has been a reminder regarding restrictor plate racing’s power ball lottery impact. Or to paraphrase Tony Stewart why plate racing isn’t real racing. This Saturday the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series returns to reality. Not to mention racing. Kentucky Speedway will host the Quaker State 400 Presented by Wal Mart.
